Routes and guided tours in Modena

What is essential to get to know Modena, discovering the city in the alleys of the historic center and through its main architectural and artistic attractions: the Palazzo Ducale, area of the Jewish ghetto, the Palazzo del Comune, the magnificent Cathedral and the church of S. Pietro. We propose an entrance either to the historic municipal halls or to the Ghirlandina Tower. The tour includes paid admissions.

The Dukes of Este, the architecture, the arts of the Baroque centuries of Modena: would you like to know them? We will start from the Ducal Palace to visit the most significant religious buildings and ending our journey in the magnificent Estense Gallery, where the delicious fruits of the ducal art are collected.

Art and gastronomy, an inseparable combination when it comes to Modena! And then from the plains to the hills we will taste and visit enchanted places. We will taste the Lambrusco di Sorbara in a special cellar, we will stop in one of the places full of history and culture in Italy, the abbey of Nonantola, we will enjoy a nice lunch based on tortellini and salami and we will climb the very first hills to reach Castelvetro of Modena and taste the black gold of Modena, the Traditional Balsamic Vinegar, in a fifteenth-century tower. The tour includes paid entrances (to be paid separately) and lunch in a farmhouse or free.

On the first hills of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines stand the most beautiful castles in the province, surrounded by long and orderly vineyards. We will visit the castle of Vignola and taste the delights of the Gollini pastry shop, where the famous Barozzi cake, with its secret recipe, was born. The tour will continue to Levizzano Rangone for a tasting of Grasparossa lambrusco at a local winery and immediately after to Castelvetro di Modena to enjoy a typical lunch. In the afternoon visit to the vinegar factory in the fifteenth-century tower with tasting of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar PDO and the possibility of buying the products and visiting the ancient village. The tour includes paid entrances and lunch in a farmhouse or free.

Modena means not only culture, history and gastronomy, Modena is above all engines. Indeed, the engine par excellence, the one famous all over the world for its prancing horse and its victories. An exciting journey into the Ferrari Museum which exhibits the automotive jewels of the past and the future. And for those wishing to experience the thrill of acceleration, the museum offers virtual-race simulators. At the end of the morning, aperitif at the coolest farmhouse on the hill with a breathtaking view and lunch (free or in the same farmhouse). If you like to give up lunch, the tour can end in the morning (Half Day Tour) by inserting the visit to the vinegar factory after the Ferrari Museum.
